Predator Triton 300 SE Glitching issue when I scroll or move tabs around

I've had this issue for a couple of months now with my new laptop (Predator Triton 300 SE) where sometimes I would try to move a tab or window, or scroll down on a website and the screen would start glitching like crazy. When it stops, half the time it then goes and does this thing where there are vertical lines on everything and it hurts my eyes. So far my main solution is to restart the laptop so that everything goes back to normal, but it inevitably happens again.

I've tried updating my drivers, changing my screen resolution and scale, and adjusting the refresh rate, but none of that seems to be working. Not sure if it's a Google Chrome issue, but it happens with other apps as well. I can't seem to find any answers on Acer or any other forums.

This is really frustrating as I've only had this laptop for a few months now, and advice on dealing with this would be super helpful. Thanks

    Mine is a Predator 300 SE - PT314-51s

    The BIOS version is V1.06

  • I would first try to update the bios to the latest version:

However, updating the bios is risky and I take no responsibility for any damage: https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/BIOS/BIOS/BIOS_Acer_1.10_A_A.zip?acerid=637758421821153853&Step1=&Step2=&Step3=PREDATOR%20PT314-51S&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

This will probably be my last resort if I can't find any other solution.

    Thanks

Update: So my laptop did the glitching thing again today, but while it was going on I managed to roll back one of my drivers (specifically the Intel(R) Iris(R) XE Graphics one) and the glitching stopped. However, I don't want a situation where I'm having worse graphics when playing games, so I might check Intel for an updated version of the driver.

I didn't update the BIOS myself because I don't want to accidentally wreck my laptop, so I'll probably send my laptop directly to ACER if the problem starts up again.

For now, though, I'm hoping that the glitching doesn't happen again.

Better do that instead of trying to fix it since it's new.

Trying to do my best here - Your happy Predator owner =)!
