How do I deal with loose ethernet connection that loses signal frequently? Aspire A515-43 laptop

We frequently lose internet signal due to loose fitting ethernet port. We've replaced cable a couple times with same result.

Is there a particular style of RJ45 connector that fits snugly? The new ones we replaced the cable with were both similar in size and shape with the little plastic clip that for some reason does not engage on this laptop. I have wedged it in place with a matchstick and this works OK until someone bumps the cable. (see photo)

Without the matchstick the cable must sit just right in order to have a connection; the slightest disturbance loses internet connection.

Thank you for your kind assistance .

Where'd you get those cables? Don't look like they're from HomeDepot to me. Those fat plug ends look like they might too fat & interfere with the case, preventing the thumbclip from fully engaging.

I have the same exact problem. Laptop is new. The first time I plugged into the port it worked...I removed the cable per instructions I saw on this site as it was a very tight connection. After removing it and reusing it the connection is very loose and I immediately loose internet connection (unless) had hold it in with one hand. Not a great workaround.

The Ethernet J45 port of your AA515-43 is broken that is why the plug is lose and not making a full connection, you can either get it changed by an experienced tech with micro soldering tools and experience or get a USB 3 or C to J45 adaptor and use that instead of using the laptops J45 port. Don't attempt to change the J45 port yourself as you will damage the mobo as you need specialist tools to do this job.
