Hello!

I have a big problem with my mobo..
Problem is with update bios.
I tried all the ways. Flashing from windows (AMI Tool) does not work, and does not work with DOS.
The motherboard is from Acer but produced by Packard Bell
I tried BIOS from Acer and Pacard Bell but no result.
It is interesting that the same version of the BIOS that currently exists on the motherboard is loaded (flashed) without any problem.
The problem is only with the update.
Do You have any way to solve this?
I bought this mobo on Amazon and I do not know what computer it comes from...

I need an update to UEFI to use the new graphics card - Asus Rog Strix Rx480 O8G-Gaming - This card does not work witch Legacy mode? I think so..
Very sorry for my bad english..
I tried to update to P11-A1(Packard Bell) with *cap and *4M, and witch P11-A3.cap (Acer) but no result.
Only result is:
- in Windows - 3 - Error: ROM file size does not match existing BIOS size. (AMI AFU for Aptio 4)
- in DOS mode - 30 - Error: Problem with opening file.
Legacy USB support is enabled - tried witch "floppy" and "drive" setting.

Mobo specs. :

On the plate:
Acer Inc. H61H2-AD, 15-Y61-011000, mATX.

In CPU-Z (mobo):

Model: imedia S2870
Chipset: Intel Sandy Bridge

BIOS:

Version: P01-A1
Date: 05/18/2012.

From the Serial detection toll from PB:

SNID: **********

Thank You very much for your help.

Looks like that motherboard was used in the Veriton X2611G models. ?The current BIOS is P11.A4 and you should be able to download it from the Acer support site.

The P11. A4 had the same problem.. I put this mobo in to the trasch... Like all Acer products before. There is no more to do .

What problem were you actually having? Trying to install an older BIOS likely would not work and there isn't one newer than the P11.A4 version.

Don't try the link, those change from time to time. The available BIOS files are on the support site. Go to Drivers after entering your model number, then to the BIOS tab.
