Hi,

If you have removed this 128GB SATA SSD from the slot next to the fan, the other slot next to the battery is for M.2 NVMe Gen 3 SSD.

actually the ssd in the picture is the one that comes with the factory ... and positioned next to the battery ....
The photo I posted is of the empty slot next to the fan
I would like to make sure I can use NVMe SSD
do you have the same notebook as me...? did you install nvme ssd? 
I can't find anything on the net about the empty slot that bears the initials "76VNA"

Yes, you can use a M.2 NVMe SSD in the empty slot in the picture, I don't have this model but I have obtained the information from Service guide, the slots look same for both types of M.2 SSDs.

If you have the original Kingston M.2 SSD in the slot next to the battery, you can use M.2 NVM e SSD in the slot next to the fan(picture)
