Acer Nitro 5 [AN515-42-R5ED] doesn't boot/turn on

My Acer nitro 5 of 3 years does not boot no matter what I try. When I press the power button, the power led turns on for a few seconds then turns off. Nothing else happens. The fans don't spin and the keyboard does not light up. I tried pressing the reset battery pin, checking the connections on the motherboard and reconnecting and connecting the connections. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a clue of what could be the problem?

I don't have an acer shop nearby, but I'm thinking of going to a specialist soon.

Okay I sent it to a technician, and they couldn't find anything wrong on the motherboard or battery. They just rubbed isopropyl alcohol(or something similar) and were able to get it running again.

I suggest that you stop doing anything else to this laptop and take it to an experienced tech that can fix your laptop. Users can only do so much to reset a laptop but and if its got burnt out or shorted circuitry components. then you can't do anything, and you need to take your laptop to an experienced technician that can fix your laptop. Have a look here what is involved in diagnosing and fixing a dead laptop, as this guy called Sorin is an expert at this How Can We Diagnose and Fix a Dead Laptop

Yeah, my cousin who is more technical with this stuff had a proper look at it and checked if there were any burnt out components and also did most of the checks I mentioned above. You are right there isn't a lot we can diagnose ourselves and I will take it to a technician soon, just wanted to find out if it was an issue that was simple before having to pay a large fee.

And not to deny the possible claim of it being dead, but I was using it a the day before it died. Can it happen without warning?

Its unfortunate but 1 day or 1 second is a long time in a laptop lifespan😁you have issues with turning your laptop on and there could be many factors why your laptop doesn't turn on, it could be power, it could be image, it could be ram, it could be many other issues that either you diagnose systematically and narrow it down or you take it to an expert tech like this guy that I referenced, who will narrow your problem down very quickly, that is the choices that you have.
