I have a NItro 5 laptop (an515-58-5046) I got two days ago. This problem came last night. I tried to use my headphones with my laptop for the first time but it didn't work. Everytime I tried using twitch or youtube with headphones connected, the video/stream stopped playing and there would be no sound. It would stutter every 30 seconds or so but otherwise, it would just be stuck. Only after I disconnected my headphones would the video/stream and audio resume like normal. This happened multiple times with multiple headphones. I tried it with my wireless gaming headset with a USB transmitter, and then I tried it with my bluetooth earbuds with bluetooth enabled, and then I tried it with my wired headphones with the jack and all three of them resulted in the same problem. I even got a blue screen error trying to figure this out. My laptop is still in good condition but I'm still trying to figure out the issue with this. Maybe I need a driver? or maybe its a simple fix from device manager? This is my first time posting a question on this site so hopefully this will be seen soon.

Immediately return to vendor as defective for a refund or exchange before the vendor's return merchandise authorization (RMA) period ends. Usually only a few weeks. Acer warranty service will take longer.

Then return it to the vendor for a refund or exchange on a comparable Win10 laptop.

I got a Nitro 5 AN515-58-5046 in November of 2022 and didn’t need the numpad or any keys on the right side to play games at that time. However now I am playing games that require me to use the page up key which is integrated into the numpad. How do I get the keys that are integrated into the numpad to work? I have tried pressing fn or alt while pressing the page up and still doesn’t work.

Open Control Panel. Search 'ease'. Click 'change how keyboard works' in left pane. Either check or uncheck mouse key option depending on if you want or don't want to use the numpad to move the mouse arrow around.
