Hello

Have a new Helios PH315-55. These problems all began after I installed all the drivers I saw on Acer's website for it & I'm not sure exactly what caused it or how to get things back to normal, but I can say it's been driving me up the wall

If, let's say I have the bluetooth headphones on & shut them off, it used to revert right back to the TV for sound(Which I mainly have the audio/video connected to). Now it will say that it's on TV in sound settings & I even see the VU meter moving as if there is sound playing, but there is none. The only way to avoid this now is to switch back to TV as the sound source BEFORE I turn off the headphones (Which I never had to do before) Also, if I happen to turn the TV off & back on, same thing: the sound is gone. Rebooting is the only way for now & is a pain to do, on top of the laptop NOT letting me wake it with my wireless keybaord or mouse, despite me following every step on the internet that supposedly does

Any help would be appreciated

Uninstall the BT driver that you have in DM completely and then reinstall the BT driver back, as that will refresh the driver. The Killer BT section of this Wi-Fi/BT card is a very problematic (I've had lots of problems with it in a Nitro AN515-56) and this cards BT driver should never be updated to any other driver than the Acer provided oem driver for your PH315-55 laptop the version 22.130.0.2 that works, as that is probably what you have done, or windows update has updated to an updated driver.

With the BT keyboard and mouse there can be several causes but to start with, you can try the following options one by one and check after each option.

    1. Troubleshoot Power

Type troubleshoot in Cortana Search > Click Troubleshoot > Scroll down > Click Power > Run the troubleshooter > Follow on-screen direction.

    2. Restore Default for Power Settings

Windows Key+I > System > Power & sleep > Click Additional power settings to open Power options > Click Change Plan Settings > Click Restore default settings for this plan

    3. Disable Fast Startup

Reach to Power options as in previous step > Click Choose what the power buttons do > Click Change settings that are currently unavailable > Scroll down to Shutdown settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup > Click Save changes

    4. Uninstall / Install Battery Driver (Only for laptops)

Shut down your computer > Detach power chord > Remove battery > Attach power chord > Reboot your computer

Windows Key+X > Device Manager > Expand Batteries > Right-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System > Uninstall > Shutdown the computer > Remove the power chord > Attach your battery > Attach your power chord > Reboot the computer to automatically install the driver

I've already tried uninstalling everything under bluetooth (As well as under audio) & restarted. That didn't solve anything. It isn't just bluetooth I'm experiencing sound problems with either. For example, just now my headphones weren't even connected & I was playing Spotify from laptop to my TV speakers. I changed the channel on TV remote, put it back on HDMI from laptop & the sound completely went out by doing that (yet it will show the bars moving as if it is playing)

I will try some of those other suggestions for the wake up with keyboard, but I've already done some of that as well (The troubleshooter was no help) + also the battery isn't removable on this model
