To check the compatibility of ram which you can use on your computer.. Get CPUz and check it with that in SPD section of all the RAM and specs that you have, its a quick and simple way to check all OEM specs and what you have in your system.

Kindly go through the details captured from service manual designed for your computer.

Don't know what old drive you have but make sure that its a PCIe 3 x4 or PCIe 3 x2 and not an M.2 SATA as that won't work, the M.2 drives below are all PCIe 3 x4 as NVMe is a PCIe 3 x4 type drive also, and its just the latest high performance and optimized protocol which supersedes AHCI and compliments PCIe technology. It offers an optimized command and completion path for use with NVMe based storage. It was developed specifically for SSDs to overcome the speed bottleneck imposed by the older SATA connection so if your M.2 drib=ve is not an NVMe it makes no difference. .

Below are the types of M.2 drives fitted to your laptop and are fully compatible with your laptop, the capacities are not limited to only 128GB and 256GB as you can fit 512GB, 1TB and 2TB M.2 drives also, most of the new Aspire and Nitro 5 laptops come oem with the WDC NS-530 PCIe 3 x4 M.2 drives like my Nitro 5 did and I've had experience with this drive (as I changed it to a 1TB WDC Black SN-750 as its quicker) and the SN-530 M.2 drive worked very well but its only a WDC M.2 drive of a low/mid-range type drive.
