Has the E5-575G bios and drivers been updated?

Hello,

Notebooks and laptops that are no longer in production

In order to use both drives, I need to find Windows 10 drivers as well as the latest BIOS file.

However, it is not a boat anchor.

This is the support site for your model where you can find BIOS and drivers.

    Aspire E5-575G.

What makes you think you need new drivers and BIOS? That would be unusual... What is going on with the system and what are your specs? There were a lot of different E5-575G models, what with different drives, memory, CPUs and languages.

The first thing I like to do before installing Windows is to ensure the latest BIOS is installed. So make sure that your current BIOS is 1.47.

It looks like the Windows 7 installer can't see the drive controller. It's been a while since I mucked around feeding Windows installers with SATA drivers, but normally you can extract some drivers to a USB stick and point the installer there and it will use the supplied drivers to find any installed drives.

Go here and download SATA AHCI Driver 15.2.0.1020 (the first driver in the driver list after you expand it).

Use 7-Zip to extract the archive to a new folder. From the AHCI_Intel_15.2.0.1020_W10x64 folder extract SetupRST.exe to it's own folder. Now extract RST_x64.msi or RST_x86.msi, depending on if you are using a 64 or 32 bit installer. Finally extract drivers.cab and put all the 6 extracted files on to a USB stick.

Hopefully this will let the installer see the drive.
