Hi all,

I have an Aspire A515-52 laptop.

I have formatted the internal HDD in hope of installing windows 7.

I now cannot boot with any device, I have tried everything.

Hope someone can help me please, I would be most grateful.

Many thanks.

Regards,

Jules.

The Aspire A515-52 does NOT work with Win-7 and is designed to work best with Win-10 and Win-7 is NOT recommended to be installed on this laptop. Keep to oem Acer installed software as and otherwise you are asking for allot of problems, as Win-7 drivers are not available for the Aspire A515-52 hardware and that is why you can't install Win-7.

You have to download the Windows 10 files to a USB drive then boot your laptop. It should detect the USB drive and proceed with the installation. Windows will detect your laptop's digital key for the license:

    Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

    Try this method..

    On a different working computer.

    Go to the website

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

Below the info Create Windows 10 installation media

    click on download tool now..

It will download the windows media creation tool - click on media creation file on the lower left corner.

Insert a blank 8 gb flash drive

it will download and install the windows 10 on the blank flash drive..

Now insert the flash drive on the broken computer

Go to bios by tapping f2 while turning on the computer

Go to main - f12 boot menu - disabled - press enter on disabled - change it to enabled

Go to boot or boot options tab - check the settings

    boot mode - uefi

    secure boot - enabled

    boot menu - enabled

    f10 save the changes

Try f12 while turning on the computer. - chose usb

    Boot it using flash drive..

    click on install

    chose custom

on where do you want to install windows screen - remove all the partitions

It will become like one single unallocated space

There is no need to format it..

    chose the unallocated space

    click on next

It will install the operating system.

Kindly check the website given below. Able to see the drivers designed for your computer. It is compatible with windows 10

    https://www.acer.com/us-en/support?search=Aspire%20A515-52&filter=global_download&suggest=A515-52;3

    Here is an alternative method..

Please visit the website - support.acer.com - chose your country - click on shop.  scroll down - click on eRecovery media on the bottom of page.  Enter the snid no - you can place the order for recovery media.  It might be a set of disks or recovery usb flash drive.  Alternatively, on the top right corner you can find the phone no to contact Acer store.  You can also order it from Acer store.

Recovery media is a unique media which is designed only for your computer.  It cannot be used on any other computer.  It comes with drivers and applications which is designed for your computer.

Kindly go through the details from the link given below

I have downloaded the file to my desktop PC but I get this message attached.

My desktop is a Win 7 system, is that the problem?
