It was constantly crashing when I tried to install linux on my laptop. I have tried many linux distributions. And when I downgraded my bios to version 1.13, my problem went away. However, the laptop automatically updates the bios.

Will there be a new bios update coming?

My hardware:

Amd Ryzen 2500U (Vega 8)

Radeon 535 2gb

16GB RAM (Upgraded)

256GB M2 SSD

Any new BIOS updates are to fix problems in either the Windows environment or the Linux environment. Accordingly, if v1.13 doesn't have problems in the Linux environment, then you should not be trying to fix a non-problem by updating the firmware that is meant to fix problems in the Windows environment.

I can't see where your problem is. If the Aspire A315-41Gs version 1.13 bios works then downgrade the bios again and back to version 1.13, as this is a bit hard to believe that your Aspire A315-41G "However, the laptop automatically updates the bios" which is impossible, as no laptop updates a bios automatically unless you approve of the bios update flash to be updated, this is even in Windows Update where they have bios firmware updates for certain laptops which luckely Microsoft has stopped providing and should never be used as it damages PCs. Also be warned that downgrading and updating the bios version in a PC can brick/harm your PC so I wouldn't do this too many times

That's what I thought too, but unfortunately. After bios 1.13, I never entered windows, installed manjaro, then when restarting, I saw the message "hardware is updating". Then the bios was updated again.

The firmware was likely already a later version than 1.13 if you got the machine on or after the summer 2019. If you don't have a problem with 1.13, then don't mess with it even if 1.19 or 1.20 are released.
