The 1TB HDD is empty. It has no data on it. Since initialization failed with Disk Manager, we can try to do it from diskpart. So go to the elevated command prompt again and enter 'diskpart'. At the diskpart prompt, enter the following commands. If you get any errors, STOP. If all commands are successful, you should then see a 1TB D drive in File Explorer.
- select disk 1
- attributes disk clear readonly
- online disk
- select disk 1
- clean
- convert gpt
- create partition primary
- format quick fs=ntfs
- assign letter=“D"

For the command “attributes disk clear readonly” the error “DiskPart failed to clear disk attributes shows”.

The the drive is likely dead... If it's a new one, swap it with your vendor for a replacement.
