OK.
- Right click and uninstall the TouchPad driver in Device Manager.
- Then exit Device Manager without re-installing anything.
- Then open Control Panel.
- Search 'button'
- Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane.
- Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable'.
- Scroll down and make sure fast boot is Uncheked. Save setting.
- Then shutdown Windows normally. Wait a minute or so.
- Then turn machine back on and let Windows automatically re-detect the touchpad and automatically re- install the driver.

Does anything happen to the i2C device in Device Manager when you press FN+F7 or F7?
If nothing happens, shut down Windows normally. Wait a mininute or so. Then turn the machine on and immediately tap F2 key to enter BIOS menu. Please post a phone photo of BIOS MAIN tab if possible.
