Hello, everybody!

Dear Acer tehnicians and Acer users, I recently bought an Aspire E1-531 and have just installed Windows 7 (x64).

Everything works as expected but the wireless connection.

I have the same problem some other customers reported here, meaning very slow wireless connection speed.

I have a „ResourceCD” containing all these drivers http://13g.imghost.us/YY/rCD.png of which 4 are WiFi drivers.

The autorun function will install the one ending in AR9462 (not sure, tho) and the one ending in WB222 for the Bluetooth connections (or might be this one for both WiFi and Bluetooth), but I have also tried the other files with no luck. I can't even tell if the CD contains the same files from the driver's download page of my Aspire E1-531 as shown here http://13g.imghost.us/bU/drivers.jpg because their names are different, but I do know those won't help either to get better speeds over wireless connection.

I have made some screenshots hoping this will help you help me:

This is the wireless speedtest

Less than 3 meters away from the router, same room, no walls nor any obstacles between laptop and router.

The wired speedtest (WiFi OFF)

Using the wired connection I get (about) the maximum DL/UL speeds according to my provider:

Downstream line rate (kbit/s): 20478 / Upstream line rate (kbit/s): 4095

As you can see, even having the wireless adapter activated slows down the connection speed.

Any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I have 48 hours to solve the problem, or else I'll probably take it back to get something else, but there was nothing else with such a good specifications for such a good price, so, hopefully, someone has a solution for this...
Thank you all (and please excuse my grammar and spelling mistakes)! Smiley Happy
