How to use an Apple Thunderbolt Display as 2nd monitor on Predator Helios 300

Has anyone been able to use an Apple Thunderbolt Display as 2nd monitor/display on Predator Helios 300? The display Thunderbolt cable does not work on the laptop's mini display port so I assume I need an adapter. Anyone know what that adapter is called exactly. Thank you!

Depends on the Hellios 300 model and its vintage. There are dozens.

Some have a ThunderBolt port that might be nearly plugnplay with little or no effort.

Some have a port that might need a bit of coaxing to work.

And then some have a port that won't work at all without a signal converter.

So which Helios 300 model do you have? For example, PH315-57?

Sorry. Your model does not support thunderbolt video signal OUTPUTs even though the passive cable will fit the mini displayport OUTPUT port.

You'd need an active displayport signal to thunderbolt signal converter, not a passive cable adapter. Google search 'displayport signal to thunderbolt signal converter' for vendors who sell these signal output converters.

Yep. Sorry. The answer is NO without a signal converter.
