Disk Drive in Aspire M3400

Device Manager lists my hard disk as a WD 6400 SCSI drive, with WD driver, while the ACER website support page says the driver is an AMD SATA AHCI Driver.  I'm inclined to believe Device Manager.  Was this a production change?  I need to add a second drive.

After further checking, I find that Disk Manager is reporting the correct Western Digital SATA drive model, but mis-identifying it as SCSI.

I am having the same trouble with my eMachine Et1331G. The device manager says SCSI but eMachines system error is reporting a SATA port. I cannot find any way to contact Acer to find out what kind of drive attachment is needed. My warranty has just recently run out and I can't contact anyone except this community. Please help me! This post mentions Acer specifications on the web. Where did you find that??
