Hello everyone. sometimes my notebook Acer Nitro 5-an515-57-520v suddenly drops fps to 1, especially in apps like Valorant or Genshin Impact. ( Nvidia overlay shows CPU 100% load, GPU 10%,task manager shows CPU 10% load and GPU 0% load) I found a solution how to fix my fps.(I dont know if my coolers stop working or notebook is getting too hot). I Open NitroSense and tap on "CoolBoost", its probably ''reset'' my coolers and then everything turns back to normal. But i still dont know how to prevent this problem.

Screen shot below shows the moment when i turned on "CoolBoost" (CPU above, GPU below)

Probably too hot if CoolBoost is off. If turning CoolBoost on fixes the problem, then your coolers are working fine, That's what CoolBoost is supposed to do. It increases fan speeds for more air flow. To improve air flow even further, make sure laptop is raised about an inch above and hard surface and don't block air vents.

Of course i dont block air vents. Moreover the temperature was not high because i turned off turbo boost(at least it was not high while coolers were working normally, although after the problem happened my notebook was somewhat hot).

And like i said "CoolBoost" didnt just increase my fan speed, before i turned it on my notebook was lugging so hard that it was a problem for him to just open task manager and NitroSense. And as you can see on the screen shot at the moment of "reloading" coolers temperature was the same.

Now im wondering could the problem be caused by the fact that i turned turbo boost or may be because of error in NitroSense? I remember one time NitroSense was turned on but couldnt control my coolers("CoolBoost" and other functions didnt do anything)

Oh, i forgot to say, at this time in my control panel nvidia i found an option "Preferred GPU". It was "auto". So after the problem was solved i set it to "Discrete GPU".

I meant try not blocking the vents with whatever you use to raise the laptop about an inch above a hard surface. I use a wire broiling rack from a toaster oven to raise mine. Don't need to use CoolBoost raised up.

Just like i said i dont block it, my notebook is raised by book and it doesnt block vents.
