Hello All,
I have 17-inch Acer Predator Helios PH 317-51 Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz with 32GB RAM and nVidia Geforce GTx 1060.
I have been using this for gaming but recently it is so hot I could cook stuff on it.
According to Predator Sense the CPU was 96 degrees C. with fans running on TURBO/MAX and with a laptop cooler pad below it.
I therefore opened it up and used compressed air on all fans and grid on casing to remove any particles of dust.
I have previously repasted the CPU as I learned that there is a theme of the paste being quite thin on assembly.
Today since cleaning it, I have had it running, with no active programmes and the CPU heat of just being switched on was 44 degrees C.
Is there something else I could do besides opening my own Burger Bar please?
Thanks in advance,
Rod
