Hi everyone,

I purchased an Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-45) with AMD RYZEN 7 5800 and RTX 3070 month ago and it seems to make a buzzing noise whenever I'm playing games while it's plugged in.

If I unplug it the buzz vanishes instantly or if I select menu or cutscene in games then the buzz goes away instantly

If, while plugged in, I alt-tab ouf of the game it also vanishes instantly, coming back whenever I alt-tab back in.

The sound seems to be coming from above the keyboard chassis-wise which is where the fans are, but they are no problem because in nitro sense I set up the max fan speed and there is no buzzing noise. The temp on the procesor and graphics is normal and not high and the fps is normal without drops. The noise is not coil whine I am pretty sure because when I use blender for animation and then can be a little coil whine sound when I am manually play the animation frame by frame using my mouse but the sound is not the same as the buzzing sound.

I tried restarting bios, holding the power button for 1 minute but its not working.

This is the sound, can somebody help?

What is your fan speed when this "buzz" occurs? It could be that your fans are being pushed to the max speeds straining them. Unplugging reduces CPU and GPU speeds and so fans speed is also reduced in turn.

As I was saying, when I put max fan speed in nitro sense program there is no noise just normal fan noise but only if I am not in a game, if I turn on a game the noise comes back
