Hello everyone. I have an issue with my Acer Nitro 5 An515-55 gaming laptop that I bought around 5 months ago and is now experiencing unresolved issues. The CPU and GPU temperatures reach above 130-140 degrees Fahrenheit each approximately when idle and when playing a game, reaches roughly 180-200 degrees Fahrenheit each on both causing the computer to have a blackout and shut off by itself randomly when it wants to due to the over powering. I’ve tried turning the computer off, changing outlets, power strips, and even dusting the fans on the inside and still no luck fixing the issue. Is there someone that can help give advice or a solution to this? I would greatly appreciate it!

First image is when idle. Gains way more degrees when performing the games.

First, this laptop is under warranty so don't worry but WOW 😗your AN515-55 is a cooking, and you could use it as a pizza oven😁😁😁 WOW that NitroSsense showing the cpu at 145c and the fans only spinning at 2290rpm and the gpu at 114c and fans only spinning at 2608rps is WRONG and its where your problems are.

Btw, this what my Nitro AN515-56 is showing at idle and normal web and numerous background apps working and with an ambient 28c room temps at 55% humidity:

Be warned, that this laptop should not be functioning at those high temps or at all, and if you continue using it then it will crash and be ruined as a usable laptop inthe long run! As these Nitro laptops cpu is set at an OS shut down of 100°C and its gpu is at OS shut down of 96°C. The cpu fans should be spinning at 95c at 4000rpm and the gpu at 86c should be spinning at 5200rpm.

You have major temp senor and/or fan fault issues or both, and you need to send your laptop to Acer Service asap and get Acer to fix this mobo for its faults. or probably what Acer will do is, they will change this mobo for a new one. Don't open or do anything more to it and try to fix anything to this laptop and call Acer in your area and have them send a shipping label for your laptop to be fixed. Good luck and hope this helps you out. 👍

StevenGen: That is farenheit, not Celsius lol, but still those temps are high, because it shuts off at around 220 degrees Fahrenheit in a game if it reaches that point, which it has on Microsoft edge at one point lol
