Hi,
It supports M.2 NVMe SSD in the second slot, according to this video for SFX14.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBEZlW7e_1o

There are several different Swift X versions. The SFX14-41G and SFX14-42G model series are as suggested, with the first M.2 slot supporting both SATA and PCIe x4, the newer ones like the SFX14-51G are new enough we don't have access yet to detailed specs, but are likely going to be the same or similar, even though the new ones are Intel based instead of AMD.

Bumping to see if anyone knows whether the 51G supports SATA in either or both m.2 slots, I'm having a hard time finding relevant specs. Any input would be very much appreciated

Hi,
Both are PCIe slots, you can install Gen 4 SSD in one slot and Gen 3 SSD in the second slot, I don't think you can use a M.2 SATA in either of the slots.

Yeah, neither spec or the block diagram says anything about SATA support, so stick with NVMe.

I've got a brandnew SFX14-51G and I wonder if it is correct that read speed of the M.2 NVME is slow, abour 3600 MB/s .
I measured it with "winsat disk -seq -read -drive c" command.
The drive is a Micron 3400 MTFDKBAS12TFH. The specification of the drive says its a PCIe 4.0 with max. seq read speed of 6600 MB/s. It is located in the slot that is marked Gen4

Hi,
You have two slots for M.2 NVMe SSD, one slot is for Gen 4 SSD and the second slot is for Gen 3 SSD, try switching to other slot and see.

That's what I thought, too. Do you think it may be possible that they mixed up the naming of the slots and deliver the notebook with the NVME in the real Gen 3 slot?. The NVME is in the left slot named Gen4.
Has anyone also got the SFX14-51G? What is your speed measurement?
