I'm not tech minded. Is there a suitable add on for this function? I think the hardware doesn't support loudness equalization in this model.

What is the exact A315-xx model that you have, as you missed the last two numbers of your laptop exact model number, also what OS are you using? As the first thing you should do is make sure that you have the last Sound Drivers for your laptop and that windows updated has update d that for you, and then go to the Enhancements page and do the tweak things like the Bass Boost, Virtual Surround, and Room Correction parameters, among other things. Updating your driver is a must if this advanced feature is unavailable to you.

If you want to "Install Third-party Applications" there are a number of free programs that provide the same functionality as Windows 11/10’s Sound Enhancement options and more. Other freebies include Equalizer APO and RealTek HD or look at Audio Manager for additional windows audio settings enhancements, as well as various other options.

A315-35 P1Q8, win 11, latest driver from this site. I know it is a base model, but I thought it would have had loudness equalization. I need the simplest way to add this, as I said, I', not that tech. From what I gather. it doesn't have the tab that you can select 'loudness equalization' from. Only 'audio enhancement', 'off ' or 'device default effects'

In control panel/sound/speakers/properties/advanced. There is just a tick box for 'enable audio enhancements'

Forgot to add that I previously downloaded Equalizer APO before I posted here, but it was too complicated for me to understand.

It's in the Realtek Audio Console app. If it's not there, there is another audio configuration app.
