Hello! I have a recurring problem with my laptop, it is complicated to get through, but bottom line is: i need to reinstall Windows.
Problem is: whenever I insert the windows USB drive, although I can select it (meaning that it recognizes it), it brings up the message "Windows failed to start" with the following info:
File: \Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc0000098
Info: The Boot Configuration Data file doesn't contain valid information for an operating system.
From what I've heard online, it is either because the USB drive is not in FAT32, or that I need to get into BIOS in order to enable boot from USB, or change the boot priority. It cannot be the first option, since not only is the USB an official Windows one that I purchased, but I have already used it in the past on this very same device. So BIOS it is.
However, I can't seem to get into it, I tried both F2 and Del, as well as F10 and F11. F12 is the boot menu.
If it helps, model of my laptop is Nitro AN515-31.
So, how do I get into BIOS? I really need to know this. Thank you in advance.
