This morning my laptop, purchased in November, 2021, will not boot and appears to be overheating. It was not plugged in overnight and was not running. Although it has been powered off for many hours, the underside feels very warm. (As it won't boot, I can't check the temperature) I guess that my only option is to return it to Acer, but has anyone else had similar problems ? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    (1) Unplug charger.
    (2) Insert paperclip into reset pinhole on bottom for about a minute
    (3) Plug charger back in.
    (4) Wait for battery charge LED to turn from steady orange to steady blue. This may take several hours.
    (5) After charge LED turns steady blue, you can try to turn it on again
    (6) If it boots, open Control Panel. Search 'button'.
    (7) Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane
    (8) Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup
    (9) Also change all the settings on battery and plugged in to Sleep mode, none to hibernate

My laptop is doing the same. I have an Acer aspire a515-56-36UT. I purchased this laptop in July from Amazon. Now it will not turn on and the laptops fan was pretty loud and the base was kinda hot. It has been hours and it will not turn on. Even though the battery is charged. I unplugged the charger and I'm still waiting for a sign. Is this laptop dead?

Did you press and hold a paperclip into the battery disconnect pinhole on the bottom for about a minute after you turned the laptop off and unplugged the charger?
