Is there anything I need to do after adding ram? here's before

after,

for some reason it's running at a lower speed

I got these ones https://www.newegg.ca/crucial-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820156265?Item=9SIB191HFP6814&utm_medium=TraEmail&utm_source=TEMC-Shipping-New-Tracking-Notification-Responsive-US&cm_mmc=TEMC-Shipping-New-Tracking-Notification-Responsive-US-_-9SIB191HFP6814

I asked the question to see if it was compatible, someone told me to look for one rated at a lower speed

before and after

I didn't do anything outside of inserting the ram in

It sounds more like the memory you got isn't the memory you ordered. The link you give is to 3200MHz memory without the need for XMP. If they sent you XMP memory instead then it would act as you are seeing, running the whole system at it's base speed, which seems to be 2400MHz.
