Have I Ruined My Chance With Acer Recovery?

Hi all,

I'm going to try to make this story short and sweet. I got my Acer Aspire v3-571G 6622 a few months ago. Unable to tolerate Windows 8, I formatted the C drive and installed Windows 7. Seeing that Windows 8.1 fixed a lot of annoyances I experienced, I sought to reinstall Windows 8 again. I used a clean Windows 8 installation from Microsoft this time, but I've been experiencing a few problems with disk/CPU usage, mouse lag, and a few other problems. Rather than confront these fears head on, I'd much rather restore my PC to its factory state and simply clean my Windows 8 installation by removing pre-installed software I don't want.

I recently read about eRecovery in Acer's support section, and I immediately pulled out the chips and salsa for celebration. BUT WAIT! In the process of installing Windows 7, I formatted the HDD and deleted all partitions (Windows 7 forced me to). Let's not lose ALL hope yet, though, because ACER mentioned that the recovery functionality is lurking in a hidden partition. Did Acer truly make this functionality adventurer-proof, or did I delete it during my Windows 7 installation?

I know I could simply answer this question myself by Alt-F10ing at startup, but I'm going to be away from my laptop for a bit and would love to have a plan ready to go when I get back to her.

I am probably not the foremost on this, but I do know that in diskmgmt.msc, I can see the recovery partition acer put on my laptop. It's probably a simple thing you've already thought of, but I thought I'd suggest it.
