V246HQL monitor does not recognize my acer swift laptop

Hi!

I have been trying to connect my monitor to my laptop via HDMI to use it as a second screen. The cable is working perfectly, since I can connect the laptop with it without any issues to the tv. I have the impression that as soon as I plug the cable in, the monitor "tries" to process it, since it immediately starts searching through the different inputs. I still get a "no signal" message every time though.

I have downloaded the driver, but there is no setup file in the zip folder, so I installed it through right click + install profile, but I'm not sure that works.

Hopefully someone in the community has some helpful insight?

Thanks in advance!

Ps. I tried to connect the monitor to another pc, it also does not recognize it. Same thing: searches for something, gives "no signal" back. I didn't try other types of cables cause I don't have them here.

Most likely the cable is bad...
