my Swift 3x I can’t enter my pin to unlock laptop. Help?

When I wake my Swift 3x up, I get the page to enter my pin but the curser flashes 4 times then stops and I can’t put my pin in. I have tried typing really quickly but can only get the 1st 2 digits in before it freezes. I have restarted it but it didn’t clear it. 😖

I haven’t changed anything, or updated it. I logged in with no problem earlier today.

Can you enter the BIOS before the OS starts to load? While in the BIOS can you wander around long enough to show it's not freezing there?

No. I have tried the F2 key, which turns flight mode on and off. And the Delete key which brings up the pin page.

    Hi @Naomig

You can try to do a BIOS reset to check if that makes any difference.

How do I reset my BIOS/UEFI to default settings?

    1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, or until your system shuts completely down.
    2. Power on the system.
    3. Press F9 and then Enter to load the default configuration.
    4. Press F10 and then Enter to save and exit.

If not then you can try to do a reset to check if that makes any difference.

How Factory Reset Your PC using Acer Reset key

    1. Press the Power key for 5 seconds to power off Acer computer completely. Then restart the computer and press Alt + F10 when its logo shows up.
    2. Select Troubleshoot > Reset your PC. ...
    3. Click Next, then select Just remove my files.
    4. Press Reset to begin the recovery.

NOTE: You will loose all the data in the reset.

Hope it will help you in some way.

I tried the first one, it just took me back to the screen saver. I haven’t tried the second one. What data would I lose, please?

So, which SwiftX model do you have? Most use the F2 or Fn-F2 to enter the BIOS IIRC. If F2 by itself is toggling Airplane Mode, then Fn-F2 should get you in.
