Go to this link and enter your full KB2 model number (for example, KB272A) and download drivers, apps & user manual that are available.

    https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

However, the UHD630 is the graphics display adapter card that is integrated with the Intel CPU. It drives the monitor. The monitor doesn't drive it.

Also just about any modern monitor or screen will show up as a generic plug & play device in Device Manager. If it seems to be running fine with no red or yellow device driver warnings in Device Manager, then it is running as expected.

Jack thank you for the response. I have a much larger issue. The monitor I purchase 08272022 when first installed let me switch between Hdmi and VGA once. I called tech support this morning and we agreed the switches weren't working. Returned the unit to the retail store about an hour ago.

The new unit has the same issue out of the box.

I can open the control screen with either button 4 or 5. The display will show input(started out with vga since that pc doesn't sleep). I had to unplug the vga connector at the pc in order to get the hdmi to be recognized.

The control screen for input shows hdmi(currently active) when highlighted none of the switches will move to the second line which shows auto source on(BY the way I did reconnect the vga before checking this). Switch 2,3 do nothing. Switch 4 closes the screen and switch 5 will highlight the Hdmi line or switch to gray.

So as far as I can determine this second unit is also defective.

If you can suggest a fix besides the 2-3 warranty route, I'm done with acer monitors.

By the way, it is a beautiful screen, but the controls are a killer!

I'm not sure it's defective. But I'm also not sure how exactly you're switching signals from OSD to PC and vice-versa. But in my experience switch should be done with both machines powered off and a power up sequence when I'm ready to switch.

A lot often depends on how good the handshaking between PC & monitor are when both are live. Often, not very good. The best handshaking with Acer monitors occurs when it's powered up first. Then wait a minute or two. Then power up the PC.

So for me, if I start out with HDMI, then it stays HDMI until I'm ready to switch signal type. Then both PC & monitor are powered down. Then the monitor turned on first. Then the PC. Yes, inconvenient, but often the only way of making the PC and monitor play nice together.

If this is unacceptable, I suggest that you Immediately return it to the vendor again as defective for a refund or exchange on another brand or type of monitor. Do this now before the vendor's return merchandise authorization (RMA) period ends, usually only a few weeks but maybe less. Dealing with warranty service will take longer if there indeed is a hardware problem. And it'll involve shipping hassles that you really don't want to get into. Sorry.

Jack thank you again for taking time to view and answer my question(s). The vga pc is always on, never sleeps. The hdmi pc sleeps with screen timeout.

I was away from the pc for whatever length it takes for the monitor to sleep, when it started hdmi was sleep and Vga active so monitor started with vga.

As I noted the only way Hdmi is visible is to disconnect the vga connector. As I think I mentioned the Switch controls do not work as the manual indicates. I can get to input mode but cannot get to Auto source on to change this to show vga or hdmi as applicable.

So I am assuming the device is defective.

It's not fun when two Acers and one Lg monitor in 3 days have defects,

Again thank you for your input.

Did the LG behave the same or have a different problem?

Lg would not see pc screen stayed blank.

I just called Tech support again and while describing the issue moving the switches, I found that the 5th switch toggles. Nowhere was this shown specifically.

Still don't know what switch 2, 3 do. but at least I know how to switch from hdmi to vga and back now.

Again thank for taking time to discuss my problems.

If you have input to Acer you may want to suggest better function description for dummies like me.

OK. Thanks for reporting back. You musta got a good on the phone. 🙂 Did you download the users manual yet from https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers ?

I guess I still don't know what KB2 model series you have. I only guessed it was KB272A. At least a half-dozen other KB2s which can be vastly different from one another even though starting with KB2.
