I Cannot get new Acer CB314 to work with Epson XP-245 printer!
Does anyone know how or if the CB314 will work with the Epson or should I just dump chromebooks and go back to windows laptops?

Go to this link and first check that the xp-45 is on the chromebook compatibility list.

Epson doesn't show the XP-245 in their list of compatible printers. I wonder if it's too old for them to have tested or if it really doesn't work? What happens when you try?

there's a saying.......if you're asking the question; you already know what the answer is. Windows laptops are notorious for flaws; but the tradeoff is user friendly simplicity.  rarely anything in the world doesn't operate by the rules of a Windows operating system. alternative operating systems like Chromebooks require a user to exercise a little more flexibility. I have a Epson workforce pro 3720. Solid printer. No current problems. But that's not exactly like I'm saying I haven't felt like taking it or my computer and smashing it up against a large rock with jagged eddges.  Because I have. Getting it (the printer) to print when you click print -  and it doesn't is to say the least frustrating. If it's a wireless printer you have; set the computer and printer to your private wifi network (mine's an Xfinity username). Assuming it came with a connecting USB cable; that should in itself work; or go buy one for your printer.  send whatever it is you want to print to your phone and print from there.
