I am not doing a reset unless it's absolutely necessary. I have had some issues with the display in the past but it had been fixed while it was in warranty. I can try reinstalling the display driver and even installing the original OEM ones that came with the laptop.ragsak28 said:Hi @ni6hant
You can try to reinstall the display drivers to check if that makes any difference.
NOTE: Make sure to reboot the laptop after uninstalling the driver.
If that doesn't work then you can try to do a reset to check if that makes any difference.

Check the above link to do a reset.
NOTE: Make sure to backup all the data before the reset.
Hope it will help you in some way.
Only battery. This is an old laptop. Like 3+ years oldegydiocoelho said:Does this issue occur both on battery and when connecting the power adapter?
No enery saving in my intel graphics command center. I uninstalled all graphics driver and installed the original OEM graphics driver and have disabled driver update.egydiocoelho said:Download the graphical command center from the microsoft store. Then disable all these options:
Has this problem started recently?
No a few months back. I have attached the video where you can see it for yourself:
The laptop has been repaired multiple times including once the camera module was changed and earlier the display used to turn off completely and the only way to turn it back on after sleeping was to open the laptop completely to 180 degrees
It's been 4+ years now with the laptop and it's rarely been used via the battery. It was always used as plugged in.
Maybe the battery is dying.
The service center guy had to change the camera of the laptop too. Also, earlier the laptop had the issue of turning off just the screen while idle and not turning the screen back on.
This issue happens both on battery and AC. The screen slowly starts to flicker and then turns off. I have attached the YouTube video link:
The charger had also been changed.
Is there any antivirus or some program that controls the automatic brightness? Some antiviruses usually control the brightness. I suggest you try to uninstall the antivirus.
I clean installed Windows but it didn't help, on top of that, the screen started flickering on it's own every few seconds even at high brightness.
But that was fixed by stopping Windows update from updating the driver and installing and overwriting the OEM drivers on top of the newly installed Intel driver. I also got rid of the Intel command center.
Here's all the things I am suspecting. Do let me know what you think:
Battery: The battery is too old.
Display Connections: The Camera of the laptop was once repaired, it could be it but unlikely, maybe low power draw or something.
RAM Door/Motherboard: In the early days the laptop had an issue where if you touched the bottom part of the laptop, like lifted it up with one hand, it would immediately turn off, maybe due to the RAM door or something, I am not sure, but it was fixed later. And maybe that now I am using the laptop propped up on a high stand it has started to come back.
Hinge There was time when if the laptop went to sleep, the screen would not turn back up again, it would wake up and everything would be working but the display wouldn't show up and we had to move the hinge all they way back for it to turn up once. But this problem had gone away after the camera was replaced.
P.S: I might take up to a week to reply.
Final update and solution:
The problem isn't software related or so it seems right now. Just pressing on the sides of the display fixes the issues, mainly the top part where the camera module is. I believe when the camera module was changed they didn't fit in the display cables properly and that's the issue. Since the laptop is out of warranty I might have to take it to the service center to get it properly set but I am thinking of not doing that and seeing how much can it be fixed by myself only because just now even at the lowest brightness the display is showing no issues, all I had to do was pinch the side of the camera.
