acer xf 250q 240hz monitor only showing 120hz in the display settings

the acer xf 250q 240hz monitor is only showing 120hz when i go to the display settings its shows 120hz i am using a display port which came in the box i am only see 120hz how do i fix it?

    You can't. Because none of your PC's video output ports apparently support higher rates.

    Probably yes if it's a gaming desktop with a 3080.

    what do u mean probably? is there a possible chance that i wont get 240hz even if i get a new gaming pc with the 3080?

    Yes. Nothing is 100% guaranteed. So if you get a new PC with a 3080, buy it from a vendor with a good return merchandise authorization (RMA) policy for a refund or exchancge just in case you're not satisfied.
