RAM upgrade Aspire A715-72G-75QE

Hello,
I'd like to upgrade the RAM on my Acer laptop and I have few question before that.
Firstly, now I'm using only one of the spots with an 8gb DDR4 memory and I'm still wondering if I should add one more 8GB or buy two separate 16gb ones and get the 32GB Memory.
Secondly, I'm not absolutely sure what MHz my laptop supports, I don't want to add 3200 if it only supports 2666. Can somebody let me know how to check that?
Thanks in advance!

As mentioned earlier, you should run the https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/aspire-a715-72g scanner on your mainboard to be more confident on recommended speed. The scan will likely show that all speeds from 2400MHz, 2666MHz, 2933MHz to 3200MHz.should work fine since they all will automatically adjust to maximum mainboard buss speed allowed.   So you should select the speed that is least expensive. :)

Any ordinary DDR4 sodimm 2400MHz or faster should work fine. If you want dual channel capability with slightly better performance, a matched pair of 8GB (16GB total) or 16GB sodimms  (32GB total) are preferred. Go to crucial.com and use their scanner on your machine for suggested RAM sodimm possibilities.  16GB total is more than enough for most Windows users.

I understand that, I'm just not sure where I can check what's the maximum supported MHz for my machine, I found really different opinions and I don't wanna buy a 3200 MHz one if mine only supports 2400.

2400MHz is the maximum mainboard RAM buss speed. That why any ordinary DDR4 sodimm 2400MHz or higher should work fine. The 2666MHz is probably the most widely available and lowest price right now. You probably have 2666MHz in there right now even though the mainboard makes it downshift to 2400MHz.

So in that case it doesn't make any difference for me to buy a 3200 MHz one instead of 2666 MHz one? And are you sure that this is my maximum mainboard RAM speed?
    Thanks in advance!
