Sorry, not internally. Only the  USB ports and SD card reader can supply more external storage. The RAM is also not upgradeable since it's soldered to the mainboard in 4GB or 8GB configurations. If you're having trouble with installing updates, a 16GB NTFS formatted SD card can usually provide the space  for temporary files that updates need to complete the installation. In general, chromebooks & cloudbooks are  designed to store information on internet or removable drives, not on internal drives.

I agree with JackE    I bought my Acer Google Chrome CB3-532 in 2017.  Still works to this day because I only use it for a few activities; what I haven't stored in the Google Drive cloud - resume; documents; pictures; video; etc - I keep on my old USB thumb drive stick I bought around that same time. Feeling like you want more ram and storage on the laptop computer itself defeats the purpose of having a Google Chromebook in the first place since you're encouraged to use the cloud through the app shortcuts on the computer itself. I knew I had to get used to the idea of storing stuff in the cloud when I bought mine. Up until buying my Chromebook I initially was inclined to buy an IBM or traditional PC using Windows since I've been using that forever. But then I thought about the whole idea of things like more space; more ram and that's the traditional Alice in Wonderland down the rabbit hole. Whatever it is you're doing that requrires more than what you have already installed on a laptop; maybe it makes sense to get a desktop computer instead?

Chrome books are not like windows computer.   They are cloudbooks.
