Acer Supplied eRecovery Disks Failed

I had to order the set of Acer Factory restore disks...they consist of one system disk, 3 recovery disks and a language disk.

First time the install failed due to power interuption. I couldn't complete the setup because I got a Windows could not load, use system disk" error but using the system disk, I got a "Please complete OS set up beofre using eRovery." Huh? It provides no option for just doing a reinstall like it started withe the new drive?

Even using Ubuntu to remove the Windows 7 install and format the drive wasn't enough to allow an install. eRecovery still told me I needed to complete my OS setup which was impossible.

I returned the drive in echange for a new one and then eRecovery let me do a complete install that would erase everything on the drive...something it wouldn't allow when something was actually on the drive. It ran to completion. After it did, it said it would reboot and Windows would load. It rebooted but Windows did not load. When the Windows animation began to run, the red, green and blue circles appeared and then the system rebooted. That brought up the Recovery Screen. Safe Mode loads the Windows files then reboots. There is no Last Known Good Configuration so there is nothing that I can do to get Windows to start. This is Acer's erecovery disks that I special ordered on an Aspire M3450. I've been down for 8 days and I am dead in the water. This machine is nothing more than a paperweight.

Does anyone have any suggestions? The machine is out of warranty but their disks have to work with their product.

Thanks.
