I have a new Nitro 5 AN515-57 with Pre-installed Windows 11. I recently upgraded my home router to a newer one which supports both 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi. The problem is when I try to connect the 5GHz network windows keep trying connecting and then give a message that says Can't Connect To This Network. My WiFi Adapter is Killer WiFi 6 AX1650i.
Any Help?

**Please note that all my other devices (Mobile phones, iPad, other PC and smart tv) is connected with the same 5GHz network with no issues.

Then you must roll back the driver. If it's an optional update, then don't re-install it again.

Open Device Manager. Expand network adapters folder. Right click wifi adapter. Click properties Choose advanced tab. Click 5GHz channel width. Change to auto or 20MHz whichever is now active. Also check preferred band option is set to no preference.

    Thanks for your reply.
I tried doing as you said but same problem still exists. Also I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver but also didn't help.

If Device Manager has no red or yellow warnings when you first start it up, then change the preferred wifi band from "no preference" to the 5GHz band.

    Unfortunately didn’t work.
I forgot to mention that I tried installing fresh copy of windows and the wifi works on 5Ghz with no problems. But as soon as windows update installs the driver for wifi the problem came back.

Here is a strange thing. I took my laptop to my work place and connected it to my work 5Ghz wifi network and it connected just fine. The router in my home is TP-Link Archer C20 and in work is a Huawei Router. At home I have (iPhone 13 ,iPhone 11, Huawei Mate 20, Motorola G30, HP AIO PC, Mi TV Stick) All of these devices are connecting to my 5Ghz WiFi with no problems , except my Nitro 5. Weird , isn't it?

Yes weird. Good observations. Means you don't have a nitro hardware problem. But you should still rollback the driver to make the TPLink work with it. Or maybe look for TPLink router firmware updates or router menu 5GHz channel settings that might be better suited to all the devices. If you experiment with any router channel or other wifi settings, only do one at a time just in case it messes up any of the other devices.

  • go to router settings and try to change to channel 36.

I already updated my router to the latest firmware. Also I knew the channel in my work place and changed my home router to the same channel but also same problem. As you said I will rollback the driver as this the only solution have left.
Thank you so much for your great help and patience.

Same issue with this particular TP Link model on my 2021 Predator Helios 300 2021. Only the Microsoft stock driver works from 2021, but newer ones sometime are able to connect to its 5GHz SSID and work fine.

Trying to do my best here - Your happy Predator owner =)!
