Just noticed my laptop isn't going to sleep mode when i close the lid.
Running win 10 x64, checked power management and everything seems to be ok there (it is set to go into sleep mode when the lid is closed, but it is not working).

I just got it back after service repair (it broke the next day I bought it), so I don't know if closing the lid worked before or it is something they missed/broke during service.
I also noticed alot of people are having such issues, can it be related to missing driver?

    Yea, that's likely the sensor.
Tried win 11 and even chrome OS.

    This laptop is absolute nightmare.

In any case I would appreciate your ideas on what could be the issue, I have time until Monday to tinker with it - on Monday it goes back to the service.
    Chipset driver up-to-date, bios too.

Its got nothing to do with either the Win-10 or Win-11 OS's OS, as you have the settings correct, its an internal issue that you should get Acer Tech Support  to fix, as there is a switch that when closing the lid it triggers the sleep mode on into the OS. I've just gotten a new Nitro 5 and upgraded it to Win-11 with a "Clean Install" that absolutely only runs the Win-11 system and has nothing to do with the previous pre installed Win-10 by Acer, and sleep mode is differently triggered in Win-11 properly but, it does get triggered when closing the lid, as with my old laptop in Win-10 it worked perfectly in all aspect of either triggering sleep on at the prompt mode and when the laptops screen is closed and it went into sleep mode automatically. Its best to get Acer to fix this issue for you especially if your laptop is under warranty.

    Hi @ EvilHerber
Follow the steps below, to stop Laptop from going into sleep mode when the lid is closed. 1. Go to Settings > System > click on Power & Sleep option in the left pane. In the right-pane, scroll down and click on Additional Power Settings link, located under 'Related Settings' section.
