ACER E5 576G won't boot

Got an ACER E5 576G 81GD.  It won't boot even when plugged in.  It just clicks and repeatedly flashes the keyboard every 2 secs when I hold the power key down.  No screen, no fan, status lights seem to operate.  Tried disconnecting battery and running from charger, same effect.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Was it working and booting before? Was this laptop left turned off for a long while or did this problem just suddenly happen? Give us more details. Power on issues are complex and need an experienced tech to fix, your problems could be from the main battery, the charger, the DC port/cable fault, it could be from some internal primary power circuitries that you have a shorted either mosat/capacitor or a resistor or even a shorted screen etc etc best is to not fiddle with the laptop and/or do anything. Seeing that you have taken the main battery out and as a last resort try to reset the laptop by taking the RTC which is the bios battery out (see below) which needs you to take the mainboard out as its on the underside of when you open the back cover and leave both main batteries and the RTC batteries disconnected for 5 min plug both batteries in and see if the laptop boots? Its a big job and virtually you need to take the whole laptop apart, if all this doesn't work then you have done everything that a consumer can do as there is no magic button that you can press as your laptop to be take to a technician.

    RTC battery removal:
    1. Find the RTC battery (A) on the mainboard
    2. Using a plastic tweezer, push the RTC battery through the gap (B) in the mainboard connector (C) to release the battery
    3. Remove the RTC battery (A) from the mainboard

Laptop was booting OK and was left on overnight and the problem manifested itself when I tried to wake it in the morning.  Its never been disassembled before, but its 2017 vintage and has had a hard life (lots of hours).  I'll try your suggestion tonight.  Thanks
