Predator Helios 300 PH315-52 can't turn off Palm Check (typing disables touchpad for a sec)

Trying to type and then quickly trying to move cursor with touchpad doesn't work for a few seconds, on my other laptops it was fixed by turning off "Palm Check" in the Synaptics/Elantech touchpad settings in mouse settings but apparantly this laptop (PH315-52) doesn't have either driver. Going into system settings says that "Your PC has a precision touchpad." but there's not a single setting about palm check or other names of the same feature

it makes games unplayable and basically anything I do clunky, even typing this message right now (getting typos and then my touchpad not working instanty so I can cursor over and fix it)

You either have the Synaptics touchpad hardware or the Elantech touchpad hardware. Not both. Go to this link, download, unzip and trying installing the Wn10 Synaptics or the Win10 Elantech touchpad update. No harrm in trying them both. One should install. One shouldn't.

Try fn + f6 or f6 alone or fn + f7 or f7 alone on keyboard to disable and enable the touchpad.

Please look at the key f6 and f7 key on keyboard . You can see the hand symbol with fingers . That denotes the touchpad function key. On some models it will be on f6 and some models it will be on f7. So we need to use the right key depending upon the laptop model . If fn + f7 is not working then we have to use f7 alone to make it to work.

On some old laptop models there will be a separate button right next to touch pad area which is below the space bar. It is used to turn on and off the touch pad. On some old models it will be right next to power button. On all new models, f7 key is used to enable and disable the touch pad.

If you would like to disable and enable the touchpad, please press and hold fn key on the keyboard and then press f6 or f7 once. If the touchpad is not getting disabled you can either press f6 alone or f7 alone without holding the fn key. It is used to enable or disable the touchpad..

After disabling and enabling the touchpad check how it is working..

Install the i/o drivers first and then install the touchpad driver

downloading synaptics and installing it went through
downloading elantech and running Install.cmd (there was no install.exe or anything exe) opened up a terminal that immediately closed, idk if thats a success or fail

either way palmcheck is still on and there's no synaptics touchpad or elantech touchpad settings in mouse settings

it doesn't work even after turning the touchpad off and on again, installing i/o drivers then installing touchpad drivers didnt work either. my issue is not the touchpad not working, it's working but its just that palmcheck is on and i want to turn it off but there's no way i could find to turn palmcheck off

That's not necessarily a fail as the installation method is a bit different for Elantech soffware. Open Device Manager. Do you see a touchpad folder or subfolder in the human interface device folder? Make sure hidden devices are checkmarked int the Device Manager view tab. Post screenshot if possible.

there's HID-compliant mouse which i assume is my mouse and then there's also ELAN I2C Filter Driver

Please post a screenshot of Device Manager if possible showing the Elan filter driver.

heres the screenshot, also i opened mice and other pointing devices instead of human interface devices oops

Did you ever find this out? In linux, libinput Lets you turn off the "Disable While Typing" setting. This is crazy. A gaming PC that you can not Game on because you can not walk and aim at the same time and no one knows how to fix it. I believe windows 10 has an option for this hardware as well so back to windows 10 for now.
