After upgrading from windows 10 to windows 11 if the sound driver is not working try to download and install the windows 10 audio driver on the Windows 11 computer.   There are some windows 10 drivers which are still working fine on the Windows 11 computer.

After installing windows 11 if the sound is not working

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to sound video and game controllers. Expand it
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager.  Please uninstall all the items below the sound video and game controllers.
    Don’t restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model  - chose the drop down below operating system - chose windows 10
    go to drivers
    Install the sound driver

Try to check it and let us know whether it is working fine on your computer.

Check this link first to make sure your model has been tested, certified and added to the Win11 compatibility list.

If your computer doesn't have the new Realtek DCH drivers (i.e. the configuration app is Realtek Audio Console), then find a slightly newer acer computer from the same laptop/desktop model range.

    Then update following this method.

Realtek 9200 and newer are Windows 11 certified.

I had the similiar problem... very annoying where my main speakers realtek had no sound output. I have predator helios 300 ph315-53 with os windows 11.

I thought for so long it was a hardware problem... but recently when I started my computer I heard the sound you get, when u start up your computer that sounds like a "rocket ship launch". By that, I knew that the sound works, so it had to be a software problem.

First time i unsinstalled only realtek sound drivers (in drivers manager), but this time I also I uninstalled all of my sound drivers including the ones on the software component that was audio related. I had my computer on around 5 minutues suddenly, i had my sound back... (think windows 11 updated the drivers on its on). IF it doesn't, just search for updates through  through your windows update in settings.

    Hope this will help.

Note: Before this I also restarted all of my services related to sound functions. usually something with Audio. That didn't work for me but it can help sometimes
