Hi all,
Whenever I turn on my laptop, the fan begins to go crazy. This has been standard for a while now, and I'm used to it. However, recently my fan has been sounding more and more 'crackly', which is both worrying and off-putting. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have already opened my laptop's back panel and removed all dust from it using compressed air, however the problem still persists. If I do need to buy a new fan, where should I look, as I haven't been able to find a fan for the specific laptop model.
Thanks!

Try this. Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near top of next pane. Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup.

If the machine is  no longer under warranty, you can replace the problem fan by google searching the part nos. shown below for vendors who ship to your location. New fans cost about $20usd.  11 screws and bottom cover must be removed to access the fans. Disconnect battery  cable. Then disconnect the fan cable from the mainboard. 2 screws must be removed from the fan to lift it away from the thermal module.

    CPU fan = 23.Q7KN2.001
    GPU fan = 23.Q7KN2.002
