Hi,

I want to transfer my pictures from my camera memery card to the Iconia A110. Can this be done through the USB connection? I have tried connecting a card reader but the A110 does not register it is connected.  Has anyone done this?

    Hello bellch,

Below I've quoted from the relevant item in the Acer Online Product Support site.
As you can see, the A110's USB port works only as a client, or "B", port - it cannot host a connection to an external device.

What the quoted answer leaves out is any kind of solution to the problem. My thought on this is that you can somehow get your photos onto an SD card and plug that into the A110's SD slot on the top left of the unit. This should allow you to access those camera images, given that they are in a file format which the A110 can read. Where this might be a problem is if the camera you are using is saving those images in the RAW format. If this is the case, you may need to first convert the images from RAW, using either software which came with your camera or another RAW format converter, into a format which the A110 supports, such as jpg/jpeg.

    I hope that this helps.

Connecting a keyboard or USB flash drive to the Iconia A110 tablet

Can I connect a USB keyboard or USB flash drive to my Iconia A110?

The USB port cannot be used to connect a USB keyboard or USB flash drive. The USB port is only used for connecting the tablet to a computer or for charging when connected to the AC adapter.
