How to set xb273K Sbmiprzx to 144Hz 4K

Cannot find any information on this online, most information is for the GPbmiipprzx version which is resolved by connecting 2 DP cables. This is not the case with the Sbmiprzx version. 
I have:
Set OSD settings to enable 144Hz
Installed latest drivers (NVIDIA and Monitor)
Connected an 8K capable dp cable 
set color to YCbCr422 and 8 bpc in nvidia control panel
Still only get 120Hz as the highest option. 
GPU is 1080ti, all hardware should be capable
Acer support was very useless when I contacted them...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

    A laptop or desktop?

    Sorry, specs suggest only the DisplayPort version can be driven to 144Hz. Otherwise 120Hz max. So your results seem consistent.

    Hello, Thank you for your response

    I'm not sure if I was clear in my original post but I am using Display Port and using an 8K capable DP (Display Port) cable. This monitor should be able to do 4k 144Hz with my setup.

    Sorry, you might have to use a display id editor like the Acer display widget to configure it  so the nvidia CP sees more options.  Not sure it'll work with your setup. There are other edid freeware tools that might do the job but I'd try the Acer one first cuz you're messing display firmware.

    Yes, you have to actively turn on overclocking with the NVIDIA to get the 144Hz refresh. Your Game Ready Driver should support that if the GPU does.

    What about the Acer widget results mentioned 2 weeks ago?

    Unfortunately, the Acer widget only allows very limited options to configure my monitor.

    Resolution set to 3840x2160?

    Yes that is correct, 3840 x 2160

    The sbmiprzx version only has 1 display port

    Sorry, I misunderstood. Does your's also have an HDMI port?

    yes it does 1 DP and 1 HDMI

    This model is newer than the available specsheets. Is there an OSD option to disable Gsync?

    There doesnt seem to be an option to disable Gsync, Apparently it should be able to run 144hz with gsync

    On another different series, gsync had to be disabled to achieve an advertised 166Hz overclock. While I can't seem to find any user reports that the sbmiprzx model actually achieved any higher rates than 120Hz from a single DP source, I guess we also can't be sure that the blank screen at 144Hz is due to the monitor itself or the single DP signal source?
