@ChevyCam94 Could you give a guide on how to replaced the keyboard? I need to replace mine as well as the Acer warranty may not cover this. I would like to know what I am getting myself into before I decide to go through with dismantling my device though.

I had to get a hold of Acer directly, and since mine was under warranty, I talked them into sending me a new keyboard assembly, swapped it out myself at home, and sent them back the old one.

i've got a customer with a predator helios 700 with damaged keyboard and he bought from WALMART! a replacement keyboard in its sled - but I'm not finding anywhere how to release the sliding keyboard from the base!  I see chevycam94 has done this - but the manual link seems dead.  can I get some assistance?
    Thanks!
  • @theeldestgeek What is the exact model? Example PH315-52-58VH.

    Dude,

That is crazy... what if i just want to replace the WASD?? they don't have spares anywhere? and honestly the MagForce keys are terrible! cool idea but i cant even use those keys for regular usage. They're finicky requiring hard presses and are terrible for gaming and typing.

I've disassembled tons of laptops but seeing your pictures helios 700 is a best just for a ***** key replacement.

My A and S key had its rubber pieces popped off and the magnet squares removed.

I grabbed magnet squares from other rarely used keys and super glued the rubber pieces back on.

No unfortunately dont think so i havent seen any anywhere and the H700 its completely different form all other models even harder to get any replacement parts assuming they exist anywhere without buying a full assembly
