Hello, I can't increase the dedicated video memory of my pc, I tried to increase via bios but I don't see the DVMT menu and it doesn't work either by creating the 'DedicatedSegmentSize' key in the registry editor.
I would like to play older games that require 512mb of dedicated video memory.

I have an acer aspire 5 model a514-54 and here is my pc specs:

8gb ram total, 4gb built in + 4gb in a slot, about 4gb of shared memory. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
Your laptop is a "Everyday" laptop and it's not designed to play heavy games, you will not be able to adjust the vRAM in the laptop because the amount of RAM the graphics use decided by the system, unfortunately, you have to live with it.

@PATRONUS891 you can search the gameplay with your graphics card name on youtube to see the performance. In theory, it should still be able to run those old games because the integrated graphics card can still use additional VRAM that is shared by the RAM.
If you are still unsure about certain games, feel free to ask me to check it for you.

and if i add another 16gb ram stick it will have a total of 20gb ram, will that increase my vram or allow me to increase?

@PATRONUS891 when you look at the Intel Xe properties, you can see that RAM is sharing 4GB for the graphics card. You can post the screenshot of the game error or game name here.
