Predator Helios PH315-53, BIOS Insyde Corp. V2.02, 24, 03/2021, i5-10300H CPU @2.50Gh is the complete model of my machine.

there was a windows update this morning and I tried this afternoon, I am getting the same issue again that happened last April.

I am completing this question using a bluetooth keyboard as the actual laptop keyboard is erratic.
this happened last April. with only the "q" key erratic. now i am able to type a few keys, then the last key i press gets stuck and repeats indefinitely and just stops. now the keyboard is completely unresponsive. i know because the keyboard backlight stays on for a few minutes. when sometimes the keyboard backlight goes off, the keyboard works again for a few key presses and its the same issue all over again.

Can someone help, this is getting annoying and frustrating. sometimes I can type for extend periods but the keyboard suddenly acts up randomly.

I have tried turning on/off the filter keys, windows update, but still the same issue.

If there is a way to get this fixed without sending it in for repair, that would be great. i am using this laptop for teaching and tomorrow is literally the first day of classes for this semester.

***update: i tried uninstalling the keyboard driver via the device manager. after uninstalling, the rest of the keyboard is working better. but now the q key is going crazy again. upon typing, the left arrow button is also crazy bringing up other shortcuts and uncontrollable scrolling down. q key brings up find shortcut, sometimes the projector shortcut.

Any advice would be appreciated!

    (1) Did this happen immediately after this morning's update?

    (2) Last April 2022 or last April 2021?

Probably. I was just checking my Outlook that morning and shutdown the computer to leave the house. when I was shutting down, i clicked the Update and Shutdown button.

It was when I returned home in the evening when I noticed the issue.
