    Hi @batmalin
    I just bought Acer Nitro 7 AN715-51-79CU
My primary OS is Arch Linux
I was able to setup Nvidia and others after initial difficulty
But, I'm not able to configure heating issue through lm-sensors
I installed TLP and thermald, but they're not helping much

I'm a noob in dealing with kernel and bios level
Could you please tell me how were you able to configure fan speed and avoid overheating of system?
    Thanks

    There are 2 options:
    1.Modded BIOS
    2. Install NBFC- https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc

Batmalin, is there any chance that you can help me with the modding of my BIOS settings? I have been trying to figure out how to turn this setting on for my Linux system as I run dual boot. I know that it has been over a year since you posted this but, any assistance would be grateful. I should point out that I have an AN517-51. Slightly different model but, close enough.

@Keirak - Look at the BIOS mod forums and request modding the BIOS of your model.
