What cable do I need to get to connect to the hdmi on a tv?

The only ones that I have been able to find on Amazon have screws on the vga side that I think will not allow me to plug in. There are no screw connections on the adapter and it doesn't look like they will work.

I have some old vga to vga cables at my storage shed and plan to go by and check to see if they will plug in this afternoon.

Use either Micro HDMI to HDMI cable or Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter and regular HDMI cable.

It may be that they supplied the wrong adapter. Acer make both a VGA and an HDMI adapter for the S7. The VGA one comes as an optional accessory....the HDMI one is meant to be included. Sounds like they bundled the wrong one with your unit. So I assume the one you got looks like this:-

Yes that is it! Do you know where I can get the correct one?

It's not available as an accessory. It would have to be ordered as a spare part. Depending on which country you live in, you should call the Acer webstore telephone number and ask what the number is for spare parts. But be prepared for a long wait as they are normally very slow.

Instead, I would just call up the place you bought it from and say that the HDMI connector was missing (don't mention the wrong part), and see what they are prepared to do about it. Maybe they can get one quickly or pinch it from another box.
