Acer Aspire 5 A515-43-R19L battery questions

With the orange light continually flashing, I want to replace the battery (RIP). It powered this wonderful laptop since November 2019. Can anyone direct me where to find the model no of the battery? The model number must be posted somewhere. ACER spec sheet does not specify it, nor do any supplier. But, I did notice the capacity advertised between 35000mAh and 4200mAh.

    (1) Search 'cmd' in Windows start menu.
    (2) Right click command prompt near top of menu.
    (3) Click run as administrator.
    (4) Enter 'powercfg  /batteryreport' at command prompt.
    (5) Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer.
    (6) Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser.
    (7) The first part of the report should reveal the battery model.

Since battery packs are commodity items manufactured by only a few companies like Panasonic, Samsung etc, they are often relabelled by distributors and laptop manufacturers (like ACER)  with essentially the same quality. Accordingly, you can google search A515-43 battery, for vendors who ship suitable replacements to your location. About $60usd

    Hi @ ineuw

When the battery charge level is critically low (less than 3%) the orange light will blink rapidly. If the battery is not charging with the AC Adapter, perform a power reset: Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter or the power cord from the computer.

The battery level is nearly 100%. I don't know if it's OK, but the charger was always attached. At this time I switched to the battery hoping to drain it completely. I am also considering that 2-1/2 years was a good run for a battery.

@JackE I traced down the model no. on the web which is AP18C4K 4200mAh which how like advertised by Acer. But in the battery-report.html, the model no. is AC14B8K, which is a ~3500mAh. So I a confused. This battery was the original battery.
How can I find out which is correct model?

Several capacities will work if specified for your model.  Here are the ACER part nos that were used in this model from the factory. . KT.0040G.013, KT.00407.007, KT.00407.009. They range from about 3.5Ah to 4Ah. If you found a reasonably-priced 4.2Ah battery that's specified for your model, I'd get it. .

@JackE, Thanks so much for your time to clarify. I did find a reasonably priced 4.2mAh for $65 CAN. Which is a very good price.

Great. Snap it up while it's still in stock. :)

Hi @ineuw, I just wanna ask what battery model did you end up buying? I'm experiencing kind of the same right now - the blue and orange light blinks continuouly and it stops charging. It happens randomly, usually when using heavy apps like Photoshop or when gaming. I do not encounter any charging problems though when doing it while it's turned off. Replacing the charger did not fix the problem so I feel like I need to replace the battery instead. I just wanna know if this will fix the issue because if not, then I guess it's time to finally get a new lappy haha. Thanks, in advance.

If you're looking for a 100% guarantee that spending $65 CA on a new battery will fix your issue, then you might as well get a a new laptop. However, you can be 100% sure one way or another if you actually try a new battery. If it was mine, I'd probably google search keywords A515-43 & battery. Then shop around for the best price on a new battery from a vendor who ships to my location.
