    Hi!!

    @woodencap

    First check at rear of your monitor & confirm the presence of 3.5mm audio jack saying AUDIO IN. If it is found, then it is confirmed that monitor has in-built speakers. Later connect Aux cable to that Audio-In port and to the 3.5mm Audio-Out port in desktop or laptop. You should be really getting audio through monitor speakers.

    NOTE: Ensure that monitor volume is not muted.

    The V227Q doesnt have any 3.5mm jack because its using DP port / HDMI. There is 2 2W built in speaker:

    Double check the model number, some V227Q models don't have speakers and others do.

    Like I said, the V227Q has several different SKUs, some with speakers and some without. What is your exact model number?

    Hi I'm having this exact same issue yet I know my monitor comes with built in speakers? I'm still wondering why my audio isn't working.

    I have the same problem, too. The "full model name" of the unit isn't exactly listed. I have the part number, or a serial number. Otherwise, it just says V227Q bip

    Hi, it only says the full model name is V227Q. It is the version with IPS and no displayport.

    The bip is what's most important here and Acer's spec page says that model has speakers. How are you connected to the monitor? Do you have the wire running between the Audio-In port and the green jack on your computer?

    I'm connected to the monitor by HDMI. The monitor has no jack inputs.

    The only picture I see has two audio jacks next to the VGA and HDMI ports. One is audio in, the other audio out. There is a version which doesn't have the jacks, but that's because it doesn't have speakers...

    V227Q Abmipx  Using Displayport from Lenovo W10 computer.  Weak, distorted sound comes from the V227Q Abmipx's speakers, but no sound signals are present on the computer's sound port that one could run to an amplifier.  How does one get actual analog sound signals when when using this monitor connected via Displayport?
